Khloe is getting so big and will be 18 months old this weekend. The Asotin County Fair is coming up and she is already with her fair outfit that includes her first cowboy boots that are PINK.
We got thru this Easter and it was a busy one that included practically no nap and one big meltdown for the afternoon The day was pretty much a bust. Poor baby. We need to plan better next year and just have family over and hang out next year.
She is teething again and has had all her front teeth in for awhile now and this last week I noticed a molar on the top right and another one on the bottom left and the temperment says more are fast approaching.
We changed her room around today and added some bookshelves that belonged to my grandfather that sat beside "his" chair in the living room. I spent the last week priming and painting and Jeff added some trim to girly it up some more and it is now in her room. Her room no longer looks so babyish anymore and definitely moving into big girl territory.
We are also fast approaching potty training. She runs to her room and shuts the door and then makes a bad dash for wherever I am grabbing at her diaper to tell me she has pooped. I think next week we will officially start. Although we have no idea what we are doing. lol.
How about some pictures?

Glad you guys are back! She is really growing and is soooo cute!
ReplyDeleteA word of caution on starting to potty train: it is very normal for 18 month old children to show an interest in potty training. Codi did this too, as did Kendra's girls. I've seen it at the child care center where I teach. The thing is, there bodies are not ready. Generally, they do not have the control to successfully potty train. A failed attempt too early in life can make trouble when you try later. It's ok to introduce her to the potty, but please don't put too much pressure on her. I'm not saying potty training now is impossible, but pay close attention and make sure you are not imposing unreasonable expectations. There is a good chance her interest in all things potty will wane over the next few months. Personally, I'd wait until she is two.
Just my two cents!
Absolutly adorable photo's. Glad to see and hear you all are doing well. So happy for you Diane. :+) Miss you ~ Tami & Family
